ASH
Ash is an open window in Olga's living room.
A profound and ironic journey into absence, into the sudden silence that leaves a death, into the reconstruction of a daily life in which a cold and inanimate object is charged with meaning, humanity and memory.
Olga returns home today and in her arms she holds a vase, a funerary urn that contains ashes, we don't know who it belongs to, if to a lover, a father, a mother or if that ashes belong to Olga herself, to parts of herself itself that are ready to be let go, scattered in the wind of a fan within the walls of a room that contains secrets, nostalgia, shadows, voluptuous memories and emotional restructurings.

Momento constitutes the first chapter of the larger choreographic project The tale of the unknown island, freely inspired by the homonymous work by José Saramago. The creation is part of an artistic research path around the theme of memory, time, its flow and the emotional and social condition that this relationship triggers. This specific first chapter of the study focuses its research on the relationship with the present time, on the suspended and uncertain condition that leads our experiences and memories towards future desires and hopes of the future. What we are is the sum of all our experiences, events, emotions lived, the knowledge we have accumulated and the lessons we have or have not learned, it is a depth that dwells under the soles of our feet. And yet life is nothing but an eternal present and existence is a thing of the instant: the Goethian Augenblick, the "moment" present in a thirsty search for meaning, in a metamorphic liquid space which is a surface as far as our eyes they can see, as we float like islands on the past below us that is submerged under the sea of time. In the time of provisionality we are islands. From Pirandello to Zambrano, from Michelstaedter to Kierkegaard, we are journeys that know the departure and departures that wish to return to or from an unknown beyond-island, a place that concentrates on a philosophy of life and death, of the finite and the infinite of the certain and the unknown. The island, invisible which becomes concrete and reachable in its representation, is a tension towards discovery, cradle of memory, melting pot of departures and returns, identity.

Amina Amici continues the study on the figure of the Virgin Mary, through a secular gaze, in a double research: that on the feminine and that on choreographic writing starting from pictorial-iconographic studies and suggestions. One wonders what Maria could think intimately, what she could feel following such extraordinary life events, and finally, how all this is inscribed in her body. The movement of a painting, a fragment of space-time of Maria's most intimate thoughts, of a young woman, in relation to the events of her extraordinary life: the authors and the paintings chosen therefore contribute to the writing and the dynamics in the movement. The rhythmicity of the gesture gives 'action' to the potential enclosed in the pictorial two-dimensionality. The vanishing points, like the sign that softens to welcome, become punctuation in the choreographic writing. What was his emotional state, how was his gaze and his heart beating in the speed of fear, probably, in the meeting with the Archangel? A place, non-place, on the ridge between abstraction and concreteness. Mary through between the earthly and the divine; the point of view of the female mother, of the archetype, an ordinary and mortal woman.
