L'evento
"The Woman Who Had Two Navels"is a multidisciplinary project that combines contemporary dance with puppetry. The argument goes to explore existential aspects of identity, in particular the connection between the two poles, which belong to each human being and which are closely connected to each other: past and future. Conceived as two navels, past and future influence each other on both sides, giving each other meaning and influencing and modifying the fundamental aspects of identity. The solo investigates the emotional states that come into play in a human being when he becomes aware of the presence of the two centres, two magnetic poles, or rather two navels.
The work “incorporates movement, theatricality and puppet theatre, walking the fine line that separates irony from drama.
The choreographic language, endowed with a strong theatrical sensitivity, aims to explore a movement that blends daily gesture and technical elements with moments of structured improvisation.
