Tastings of Scena

In times when a social distance is necessary, we present a project aimed at bridging other distances so that even if we are physically distant we can be able to get closer morally. The distance between the coldness of a writing and the warmth of a word, between the different types of art, between the artist and the public is what we aim to bridge with this opening event of the Assaggi di Scena review. In the splendid setting of the T.off we open the doors to an evening where we will present the project in front of you, a fundamental member of the artistic creation process.

This event is the first step in a long journey that we hope will lead to the creation of a strong community in search of culture and entertainment.  In contrast with what we see around, closure and fear of the different, we, a generation of travellers, want to overturn this fear into openness and curiosity towards the unknown.

All we need is a place that acts as a center of exchange, where we can breathe and experience different realities, as squares and ports once were. The T.off, which has always embraced this philosophy, will be the place we need. And speaking of ports, there could be no better choice than to welcome the Honky Tonk Sail, a jazz group of itinerant artists who will land with their catamaran in Cagliari at the end of the month and will  accompany us in the evening with their music draws from the New Orleans tradition.

Now only the community is missing, and for this we hope you want to be a member.

Honky Tonk Sail 

is a project that combines art, traditional New Orleans Jazz and navigation. On board a catamaran, a group of artists navigate using the power of the wind. The jazz group has been playing around the world for 3 years now. Now in Sardinia, 4 musicians will play for this special event. At the end of the concert, one of the artists will paint live as part of the musical performance.
