Cortoindanza is aimed at supporting productions, mobility, exchange and artistic residency, as well as support in the form of a cash contribution for full production. The Cortoindanza announcement/festival (this year in its twelfth edition) is the pilot programme; In eleven editions, over 150 choreographic projects of young authorial dance have been selected, implementing the production and circulation of emerging young people <35, in an important showcase for the development of contemporary dance, physical theater and circus art in Sardinia.

Among a multitude of artists identified, selected and produced through the Cortoindanza Festival, many were subsequently included in other Festivals including NID, Young Author's Dance Showcase, Interplay Festival, Inquilibrium Festival, Glass Theaters, Ra.ID Festival, Focus Young Arab Choreographers, Bando Permutazioni/Zerogrammi. Cortoindanza opens its extraordinary showcase to create an intergenerational dialogue, therefore a comparison with companies of great prominence and artistic maturity on the national/regional scene, also embracing more than a cross-border experience (Colombia, Armenia, Mexico, Portugal, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Ivory Coast, Scotland, Denmark, Germany, Egypt, Brazil, Japan, Israel, North and West Africa), to continue contributing to the creation of services and a seasonal and articulated cultural offer and renewable over time with participatory planning and with particular attention to emerging artists from countries at risk of peace or where there are ongoing civil conflicts.
