Places have names and participate as protagonists in our stories and vocations, because a mysterious but real law of reciprocity exists between the earth and men. We often instinctively return to the symbolic places of our lives to let them love us, to choose us again, to want to re-dream that first dream. The earth and the sky continue to live and speak to us. And we, like Jacob, continue to dream of them, and to search all our lives for the 'gate of heaven' and a 'ladder' to reach it.
